Pagagora was created to simplify the process of managing shared expenses among friends and groups. The app focuses on reducing friction and errors when splitting bills by automating item recognition, providing clear visual feedback, and offering flexible payment options. The goal was to deliver a seamless, intuitive experience that allows users to quickly divide costs, assign items, and settle payments - all within a few taps while keeping the process transparent, fair, and stress-free.
The Challenge
Splitting bills among friends can be confusing and time-consuming, often leading to mistakes or arguments. The challenge was to design a mobile solution that simplifies the process while keeping it intuitive, transparent, and visually clear. The app needed to handle various scenarios - multiple people, shared items, tips, fees - without overwhelming the user.
The Solution
After defining the user flow and creating wireframes, I designed the final screens in Figma with a focus on simplicity, clarity, and speed. The design approach included: Streamlined Experience: Users simply take a photo of the receipt, and the app automatically detects items using AI (OCR) and organizes them for quick assignment. Intuitive Interaction: A clean, consistent flow allows users to select friends, assign items with one tap, and instantly see totals. Smart Visual Feedback: Color-coded selections, immediate total updates, and clear confirmation prompts reduce confusion and ensure transparency. Modern Visual System: Minimalist design with rounded shapes, friendly typography, and a fresh color palette creates an accessible, enjoyable experience. Flexible Payment Options: Results can be shared via WhatsApp, MB WAY, or PayPal links, making payments fast and practical.
